location: Rochester, New York - Mayor Robert J. Duffy ushered in the newest addition to the skyline on July 13, 2007, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and fireworks commemorating the completion of the Troup-Howell Bridge in downtown Rochester, New York. EKS began construction on the bridge in April, 2004, and it was completed on June 18, 2007. The three-member steel arch structure measures 433 ft. in length with arches rising 70 ft. above the road surface. The unique bridge is the widest three-member arch in the country and replaces a 50-year old multi-girder structure carrying Interstate 490 over the Genesee River and New York State Route 383 in downtown Rochester. As part of the ribbon-cutting celebration, the bridge was renamed from Troup-Howell to the Frederick Douglass - Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge.
