project: Profile
location: Snowmass, Colorado - Edward Kraemer & Sons constructed a 330-foot-long pedestrian bridge, the Rio Grande, across Highway 82 in Snowmass, Colo. The project was the final piece of a 20-mile trail along the old Rio Grande Railroad track that will connect Aspen and Emma.

The completed structure is in the shape of an ‘A’, and composed of unpainted, weathering steel material. The final piece of the bridge, the center truss, was added early in May.

The bridge was opened to pedestrians the first week in June.
