Edward Kraemer and Sons, Inc. (Kraemer) specializes in erecting complex structures in challenging locations. Experienced in-house engineers have the capabilities to develop detailed erection plans that utilize Kraemer’s wide assortment of conventional and custom-made rigging and lifting devices. Kraemer can provide a complete lift package, which encompasses fully engineered plans, rigging, hoisting equipment, field supervision and erection crews for any size or type of structural element.

Each critical lift is overseen from design through construction by a staff of project managers, veteran superintendents, and field personnel that have completed numerous complex and intricate projects successfully over the last 30 years. Kraemer teams have safely completed single and multiple crane lifts of pre-stressed elements, steel trusses, arches, thru-plate girders and standard steel girders for a wide range of owners, including state Departments of Transportation, Railroads, and other industrial and private clients.

Kraemer has designed specialty jacking equipment that is capable of lifting a fully-assembled bascule bridge, and structural steel girders or precast segments of up to 1,000,000 lbs, onto an existing or new foundation. These systems have been used to facilitate one day or less change outs of the superstructures. This heavy lift equipment has been designed so it can be readily adapted to meet the most complex lifting operations.

Kraemer owns and operates a fleet of more than 60 crawler, rough terrain, and truck cranes that range in capacity from 25 ton rough-terrain cranes to 250 ton crawler cranes. Our cranes are strategically located throughout our Wisconsin, Minnesota and Colorado Regions. This wide range of hoisting equipment, combined with our specialized equipment, enables Kraemer to handle your challenging hoisting needs.
